The Hullinger Name

In Switzerland the Hullinger name was originally spelled "Höllinger" with an umlaut over the ö. In English this is variously translated to Hullinger or Hollinger.

Our Hullinger Ancestors

Our Hullinger family seems to have originated in the small Villages of Egliswil, Aargau and Boniswil, Aargau, Switzerland, located near Zurich. Our ancestor Christian (Hollinger) Hullinger with his father Hans Jacob Hollinger left Switzerland around 1736 settling first in Pennsylvania where Daniel Hullinger was born in1757, then onto Virginia where John Hulilnger was born in 1795, then Ohio where Dr. Harvey Coe Hullinger was born in 1824, and finally homesteading in Utah.
